A Message from Our CEO
01.08.13
Numbers have a lot of significance. Ten is the number of the commandments. Thirteen is viewed as unlucky. One is the loneliest number. Three Dog Night (but I digress). If you don’t think numbers matter, just ask the people from Nebraska who recently won a couple hundred million, mas o menos $50 mm, in the Mega Million Lottery.
The number that has the most significance, however, is the number “7”. In religion, science, geography, physiology and other disciplines it plays a prominent, almost mystical, role. Google search “number seven” and you will see. Here are some of the more significant sevens I found: seven days in a week; Seventh Heaven; seven wonders of the world; seven notes on the musical scale (my personal favorite); seven seas; the Sabbath is on the 7th day; seven senses; seven is the most probable role of the dice; seven hills of Rome; and there are many, many more.
So, it is ironic, no, magical, that the Private Bank of California just completed its seventh year and will end the year with over $700 million in assets. Due to our future partnership with First PacTrust, which we are very excited about for aforementioned reasons, we will not likely see an eighth year in this form. But those are good numbers from which to move forward to the next step in our evolution.
Your bankers at The Private Bank of California would like to thank you for helping us reach this milestone. If not for you, we would not have been able to do it.
We look forward to continuing to serve you in the manner that earned your business in the first place, for seven times seventy years to come.
