TPBOC Sponsors Annual ‘Season for Sharing’ Luncheon

Los Angeles Regional Food Bank Holds its Largest Fundraising Event of the Year

The Bank recently attended the annual ‘Season for Sharing’ Luncheon, the largest fundraising event of the year for the Los Angeles Regional Food Bank.  The luncheon, held on December 6th at the J.W. Marriott at L.A. Live Downtown, included over 300 attendees and featured The Private Bank as its Community Sponsor for the event.

“The Bank was honored to sponsor and attend the Season for Sharing Luncheon to raise funds for such an important cause.  Each year we do our part to support the fight against hunger in hopes that one day we will finally win this battle,” said Meredith Esarey, Vice President Relationship Manager at the Century City branch office. “It is so rewarding to know that our donation will provide for 20,000 meals for the hungry this holiday season.”

The afternoon was filled with great moments, but the most impressive was a story about a woman who started a garden in her backyard to feed people outside her neighborhood and grew it into a program that now feeds 6,000 people per month.  Stories like this are a testament to the change that each one of us can make in the lives of others.

The Season for Sharing Luncheon is one of many initiatives the Los Angeles Regional Food Bank is executing in their continued effort to fight hunger.  According to a U.S. Department of Agriculture report, the number of people living in households that experienced hunger in the United States increased from 48.8 to 50.12 million in 2011.
